  • Can't have Sharp shadows.. Help me please ...

I'm lost with all parameters !!!
I can't have sharp shadows. can someone help me and tell me how i can simply have sharp shadows.
    Fon information, I use a v-ray light.
Is it important to place light far or near of my scene ?
Does the light parameters are important...

If you use the vray light to simulate the sun, you can play with the uvw size to sharpen or blur your reflexions: the lower the size, the sharper it gets. You can also increase the sampling parameter to get your shadows less grainy.

I know for sure that these parameters are the ones to play with when you use a direct with vray shadow, but I 'm not sure it works the same way with vray lights. I'll try to test it later in the day and let you know more. Maybe you could give some more info about your scene and your ligth settings and a test render to see what's the problem...

vray light is an area light. Its NOT supposed to give sharp shadows. for sharp shadows use a standard max light and set shadows to vray shadows.
