  • just downloaded 3.2 for max 2016. Having minor render issues

I've been anxiously awaiting Vray for max 2016 and I'm finally able to load it up.
But I can't figure out why the scene I'm rendering is very dark. Working with one of Grant Warwick's Mastering VRay lessons and everything was fine in max 2015.
It's probably a matter of ticking or unticking one thing but I can't find it.
Increasing the light multipliers has no effect. Display colors in RGB space is on. The only thing that changes the render darkness is lowering the f number in the camera but it's still very dark. All lights are on, Don't know what else to check.
    Thanks

What happens if you turn off the "lens effects"?

Maybe it's looking for a texture for the light and not finding it?

Check whether you have all lights set correctly and as Deflaminis said check for textures in the lights. Also it might be that the camera exposure is not set correctly.
If you send us the scene to: support@chaosgroup.com we can have a look for you.
