firstly,

when using progressive,does it's target noise threshold override the one in the dmc settings?


secondly,

if im working in progressive, and i wish to switch to adaptive and keep identical render results, i just have to set adaptive to 1,100 aa and copy the noise threshold of the progressive render settings to the dmc and aa colour thresholds? im using global subdiv multiplier of 0.

No; the two thresholds are used for different things. Leave the DMC one to its default 0.005 and don't touch it.

Almost correct; just copy the color threshold from the progressive sampler to the adaptive sampler. Leave the DMC threshold alone.
