  • VRayPhysical Camera Clearification

I am having a hard time finding information on the differences of rendering an animation with a Vray Physical Camera with the type set to "Still Cam" or "Video Cam". I know that "Video Cam" disables the options for shutter speed, assuming that it automatically assigns the shutter speed. But what other advantages does it have? Does it help reduce flickering on reflective surfaces that give off a strong hilight? This is a problem I have seen when rendering an animation using the camera type as "Still Cam" mixed with "Vray Lens Effects > Bloom" enabled.

Basically, what rendering advantages does using "Video Cam" mode have other than automatically setting shutter speed for animations?

    Thanks!

My question is not worthy of an answer? I just want to know if any other advantages are in rendering in "Video Cam" mode instead of "Still Cam". Or if anyone even uses "Video Cam" mode.

there are no advantages. just depends on the user and if your trying to match real camera settings. some people prefer working with shutter speed (usually stills), some prefer working with shutter angle (video).
