  • Displacement and Max's filtering

    Hi,

I just spent hours trying to figure out why my Vray displacement was looking great close to the camera but horrible not so close.
It turned out to be the default 3ds max's filtering.

Wouldn't it make sense that vrayDisplacementMod bypasses this filtering by default?

    Thanks.
    Guido.

Following Vlado's advice on another thread (regarding filtering), I'm using VrayHDRI map to place my bitmap for the vrayDisplacementMod. It's much better, just FYI.
