  • VrayProxy as static geometry

    Hi!
Is it possible to render a VrayProxy as static geometry so that it can be rendered faster?
If not, please consider this a feature request

While it's possible, I'd like to make the proxies themselves render a lot faster. The next patch (3.20.03) actually has some improvements in that regard where proxies might render between 25% and 50% faster than before (nearly as fast as regular dynamic meshes).

Other than that, just put some modifier on top of a proxy with display mode set to "show whole mesh" and it will render as a regular mesh.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
