  • Radial brushed metal pattern?

Hello and thanks for your time,

I've tried using bump or normal maps of radial lines emanating from the center and out but I get too many artifacts and moiré patterns.

Would you know if a way to create a brushed metal look so that it starts from a center and radiates outward.?
The goal is to get this look but not deal with shimmering and moire.

    K

yep! That's what anisotropic reflection is for. spiral gradiant ramp in the rotation slot does the job.

Just for accuracy's sake, I wrote a tutorial on the subject back in 2002...

But the one you linked to is indeed a nice tutorial
