  • Illustrated toon style based on distance

Question for all you vray masters. I was wondering if anybody has had experience with creating an animated object with the front surface lines solid and rear surface lines dashed? I'm trying to find a way of reproducing the below image in a quick animation, in several different shapes. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

I've tried to come up with something for you.
It's a bizarre setup using a falloff map set to shadow/light for opacity to blend between two different v-ray edge textures.
One is a standard edge texture, the other is masked by a box like gradient ramp. It's not ideal but I only spent a few minutes thinking of what to do so not sure if it can give you a head start
    Cheers

    Grant/

No problem. You just need a better opacity map now to get the dots more even.
