To GI or not to GI

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what are advantages/disadvantages to GI if there are any? I have recently been playing around with some product renders and have been getting some pretty good results without using GI.
Is GI recommended in all situations? Or can it be left out in certain situations?

Just trying to get a overview of whats possible.

To be honest that is entirely up to you. If you get the results you are after without GI by all means don't use GI. Not all situations require light to bounce around.
