First of all don't use raytrace maps or materials, 'cause they are not compatible with Vray.
I should try to make it a little darker, and, with some transparency, but no so much.
Also do a search at Google to find some pictures about it.

Fog parameters in VRayMap or VRayMaterial would be the best solution for blood.

And dont forget it depends on where the blood is coming from. That changes its appearance a little.

FOr instance if someone get shot in the chest area, the blood is usually very dark and thicker. If soemone has a blood nose, or has cuts on their arm the blood is lighter and thinner.

When blood is on the ground it never clumps together, and is quite thin. And quite transparent at times.

So it depends on the use.

heheheh i just had to complicate things didnt I

HAHAHAHAHA i dont know what your talking about

Oh, and it also depends on how long the blood has been sitting around for. The longer its around the thicker it gets. cause it starts clotting, at this point it does start to get darker too.

I want to create a two types of blood

                    1) when get shot in the chest area
                    2) when serve in the bowl

Chest shots...should be a darker red, and slighly thicker.

Blood in a bowl. I would go medium dark.

Try with a vray material, with a bit of reflection. And for the bowl blood try a touch of SSS as well, could look good.
