And what is the best: installing VRay to cluster's controller or using of built-in Distributed rendering?
As i know, when using Distributed rendering, IrMap and Photon Map calculating independently on each render-server. With using of cluster can i obtain parallel calculations of those items?

im waiting to see what happens next. might be that peter and vlado figure out a way to get all stations to work on the irradiance maps. but for now it usually better when doing flyby anims to render the irradiance map on one system and save it then re-use it when sending it out to the farm. thats what i do with my small 2 computer render farm (more of a kitchen garden than a farm i must say but principles remain the same) when im doing animations with moving objects, lights, each computer needs to do its own irradiance map for each frame.
