  • hair and fur opacity

    I'm trying to produce a nice soft rug but I'm wondering how to alter the opacity of the hair and fur toward the end of each hair ? Should I place the opacity shader inside the MR parameters slot or just assign the shader to the hair and fur object ? It seems at the moment with the shader applied to the entire object the opacity isn't exactly working as expected. I can only apply per the entire H&F object and not per each hair...

    Fur uses W coordinate.
    Try setting your opacity map to use WU (or was it VW?) instead of UV

      You can also use VRayHairSamplerInfoTex as opacity map in a VRayHairMtl material.
