  • 2016 camera - what do I need to do to get same render as in 2014 ?

So, I try things out on a recent past project which I did using 2014 - an interior scene (Color Mapping is set to Reinhard).

I try this same scene in 2016, using the new Physical camera, same exposure settings as was in 2014 scene (so I've activated the "Install Exposure Control") and I see under "Physical Camera Exposure Control" (Environment Dialog) a new bunch of stuff as well as what looks like a correction curve.....

My 2016 render looks as though a curve has been applied.

    1) Does this mean I'm having two sets of mappings going on (the Reinhard under Color Mapping) and this 'other' curve in the Environment and Effects tab ?

    2) How do I 'neutralise' this 'other' curve so that it has NO effect (if indeed this is where the effect is coming from) ?

    Many thanks.

I'm in a similar situation myself. I'm just now getting back into VRAY after last using the 1.5 version and apparently the Camera and Light settings are very different. Is there an updated tutorial or video somewhere that can show me the relationship between the original camera settings and the new? I used to have good values for ISO / Shutter / F-Stop on Exterior & Interior scenes, but I'm a bit confused now with the new controls. Thanks in advance! - Dave

      Same here

Maybe Dave I'll investigate and do a tutorial myself - I haven't had much response on the forum (unusual !) and I haven't seen anything elsewhere which will give me the confidence to use the new camera as comfortably as the previous one.

I'll certainly get back when I've managed to spend time finding out what the new deal is.
