  • License Problem...

    Hi Everyone,

So I have a couple of new machines set up - everything seems to be working well, networking and all that. Max 2014 and Vray 3 installed on both machines - I've done this many times in the past...

But now machine 2 will not see the license on machine 1. When I go to save the new license settings on machine 2 (pointing to machine 1), I get a Could Not Save Settings error.

I have double-checked IP numbers but no go. In many, many installations over the years, I have honestly never seen this before.

    Perhaps Important Facts:
Machine 1 is Win 8.1 pro 64 and Machine 2 is Win 7 pro 64
    Both machines have ESET running.

Anyone ever seen this? Any ideas where to look?

    Thanks very much!

    -Alan

When you're setting up the settings, are you launching the settings as admin? (right click, run as administrator)
    Kind Regards,

What Morne said, try right-clicking on the "change client license settings..." shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator..."

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

        NICE!

Wow. Never ran into that before but you can be assured I'll never forget it!

        Many thanks to you both!
