  • adaptive msr to test.

    as i understand it , the msr prepass is already included in the beta 3.3, but is disabled, as it isnt really production ready. i also understand there is a maxscript command to enable it.

    can anyone tell me what it is?

          Tried it with a super simple scene. Decided not to use it with my production scene because it bugged the hell out of VFB when on. A/B comparison for instance generated ghosting when moving the vertical bar back and forth.

                I tried it on few scene and I haven't seen "any" differences between on and off.
                Tried on a interior scene and on a exterior scene with loads of trees and grasses.

                Only thing I notice is that the fast white prepass is doing t on the whole frame even when using the Vfb crop render, but that's nit a huge help sorry :-/

                Actually, I think that we have a complete production animation rendering with it as we speak as I thing that setting is accessible in RPManager and one if the artist pushed it without really knowing what he was doing
                I only noticed because I saw the prepass in BB while connection on a node.
                What's the mxs to check if it's on in the current scene?

                That being said, we love the look of the animation and it's fast! So GG anyways
