  • PSA: Be careful with the "Max ray intensity" setting!

I nearly submitted a bug report since I experienced "strange" results as in my window glass material absorbing way too much light as I could see in reflections on the floor whereas a hole in the wall was reflecting blown out white.
Before submitting the post I realized I had my max ray intensity setting at 10. Unticked it, now all reacts as expected.

I just though I should post this... For some it may seem obvious but you tend to forget your own default settings
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

    Thanks for your feedback!
For the latest builds Max ray intensity default value was raised to 20 in order to eliminate or decrease any differences between the original and clamped render.

Yeah, I guess I will still not be using it except when actually getting fireflies .
