  • Vray samplerate

    Hi all
I don't know if this is the proper section to ask about this but recently someone keep sharing this sort of images -without any more info -and it was realy weird as he says he found a way for scene optimizing for speeding up the renders !
I have tried to replicate that but with no luck.
So has anyone faced anything like this before?

it has been bring to the mass by Grant Warwick, but the fundamental started somewhere on the forum (I guess) by very few master vray member, the ones that like to know what's going on under the hood.

      Thanks for your reply
I am sorry as I didn't make myself clear
I am aware of Grant course and all the discussion here about the optimizations but this one looks different.
What usually most optimization methods do is that : let AA do its job and keep the secondary Rays do it is job so the samplerate would look mostly blue and the green / red only on the geometry /texture edges if we exclude Dof and MB.
I am more interested in making that look of samplerate than the optimization process itself =D

I don't know if this piece of information helps you or not, but you can only get that look of the sample rate with the new AA sampler in V-Ray 3.30.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

If anyone interested this is the answer form the man how made the image above :
"Sorry for the delay ... In fact Im not using vray 3.3 I'm using vray 3.2 But it's almost the same thing .. i'm using a mixed method from mastering vray and an approach from vlado i've tested both but i think that both are not suitable for archviz mass production because settings are very different from one scene to another ..so it's not interesting to implement both in a studio workflow .."
            Regards,

Actually my settings are exactly the same for all scenes

              Best regards,
              Vlado

Yes it is and actually your way have saved my life yesterday! As every method failed to remove the noise in a reasonable time so big thanks for that

I find myself always starting with the traditional way (higher subdivision /clr threshold Low noise threshold) as it most of the time give quicker results! but if I don't have enough time for testing I go with your way.
I don't want to take this thread to out if its subject but I would love to see how you would apply your method on a real world interior/exterior scene of course if you have a time
