  • Reflections in glass on residential building

    Hi all,

We are having difficulty getting our skydome to reflect properly in the glass of a building we are rendering. See link below.

For some reason, some of the glass reflects just black, but in other cases it properly reflects the environment dome. Anyone have any ideas or a good glass material for this perspective?

    Thanks,

    Vince

did you check "reflect on back side"?

    check your surface normals!

mmmmmm.....sorry fir posting a question in this thread, but i could use his image as a reference for my issue.

I actually wnat to do the other way around, i dont want the glass to reflect but to refract.

Heres the thing, i modeled a window and its frames, i applied a glass material, and i make 2 cameras, one inside the room with the target outside the window, and a second camera outisde the building with the target inside the window (room), 2 oppposite views, the one that looks towards the outside, the glass is ok, as you can see through it, but the one thats outside looking inside, it cant, since that part of the glass appears to be a mirror..it reflects all the enviroment...why?

Should I click "reflect on back side"? I flipped the normals on any glass that was giving me problems and it seems to be reflecting properly now.
