Here is my other option using Max's composite map. I don't have any errors with this....it just eats my computer on render Doubles RAM consumption.

What is the appropriate workflow for setting up multi uv tiles in VRay?

I started with this workflow http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_educat..._uvs_tiles.htm but it consumes large amounts of ram and my time to manually setup. So, what I've been trying to do is convert Neil's workflow to a straight VRay one (removing 3dsMax Composite and Displace). I get hung up on the geometry breaking issue.

Is the simple answer to convert my Zbrush naming convention to a ODIM/MARI one? Will one VRayHDRI autoload and distribute the textures to the object if those textures are in their own folder?

Thanks for your time Vlado! Always appreciated.

What are your textures named like now? V-Ray should support the formats of ZBrush, see here for more information:
        http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/V...sinBitmapNames

It will not help with your displacement issues though, if the texture values don't match across the UV seams.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

Thanks, I'll read through this section.

The displacement maps are 8k and are a direct export from zbrush (I only ran them through VRays tiled multires EXR converter tool) so the values across seams should match. I'll double check. The naming is like so "SkinCubeDM_u0_v0_tiled.exr"

OK, in that case using the <uvtile> tag should work.
