I believe it shouldn't take so long, but in case that you need this working for your current project then you can use the nightly build.

sorry for being ignorant but what is the nightly build?

A nightly build is a Work In Progress version of the software, it is not considered as stable as the official build but sometimes it contains major bug fixes which might be very important for a particular project.
