  • Saving Passes with different formats

Is it possible in vray? Using the vfb so save out passes. Usually we work with TGA but the compositor most of the time requests the zdepth in EXR. I usually do a separate render just for this. Is there any way to do this in vray that i'm not aware of?

PNG 16bit works well for Z depth (it's not full float but the dynamic can be stretched) and of course for the other passes.

What's the problem with working with EXR ? Too heavy ?

They're working with Flame 2012, so EXR is out of question, unless REALLY needed. Which is the case for some zdepths. Other than that unpremultiplied TGAs. (Yeh i know it's awful...)

There isn't any option for that unfortunately. Maybe we can consider it as a feature request.
What about if you enable both output options in the VFB roll-out? Raw image output for the EXR and Separate render channels for the TGA files ? Is that an option ?
