  • Editing a Mesh Light ?

    I've created a meshlight from a bit of plane geometry and now want to go back and alter the geometry.

    The options "Editable Poly" under Mesh Light isn't explained in the Docs - I click on Editable Poly and nothing changes / happens.

    Please can someone advise ?

    Okay, if I add an Edit Poly modifier, I can go back in the Modifier Stack and amend my geometry. But still don't understand what the "Editable Poly" button under Mesh Light for a VRayLight does.

    Any ideas ?

      Do you mean the Extract mesh as node option ?
      use this button to restore when you have created a mesh light replacing the actual geometry with the light you can get the original geometry back by clicking on this button.
      Actually there is a box above "Extract mesh as node" that is named this way if your geo is a poly object. Probably this is what you mean. It just specifies which scene object was used for the Light mesh generation.
