  • Animating 3dsMax physical camera with vertical tilt

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with the Physical camera, now the vraycamera has been swapped for that one.
No problems so far with the new camera.
Only when I try to setup my camera motion and I check guess vertical tilt (auto vertical tilt correction), it seems to work... on that still frame.
If I playback my animation in preview frame 0 is w/o vertical correction, frame 1 is corrected, and from 2 on alle other frames don't have this auto corrected vertical tilt.

Anyone with a solution for this?
    Thank you!

I'd advise against using vertical tilt correction in animations. You wouldn't do in real life unless you were doing very simple pan/dolly shots because it would require constant adjustment and makes the building look as if it's "breathing". The effect can be quite nauseating.

have a look at this at about 40s

      Hi Macker,

      Thank you for your reply.
You've got a point there... it's just that I was using that to correct some panning motion, with minimal vertical perspective.
I've noticed this breathing problem in other animations, but only minimal, never as strong as in this animation.

However if there's anyone that knows a solution for this, cause it worked with the vrayphysicalcamera.
      Thanks
