Loving the new V-Ray and it is easy to get your head around, however, I have a question. Using the VRaySampleRate to make your image cleaner, is it still supposed to make it faster? I work my scene until there is no more red and it is getting cleaner, but not really faster.

i think it's the fastest way to render depending on your noise threshold , red on the edges of an object where you have a very bright sky behind it should be normal

The samplerate pass itself doesn't meant anything, it's just presenting you a view of where is using high aa and where is using low aa. You can use it to judge whether vray is trying to clean up areas of your image that should be solved by shading or if it's only working on edges and other areas of contrast.
