  • new irradiance map calculation

    Hi,

In the 1.45.70 vray version, why is the single frame IR map calculation visually different while calculating? It used to be a line going from top to bottom, but now the image is divided in squares or something. The bucket size has no effect on the size of the squares here.

It looks more like bucket rendering now, but each square only goes to one prepass instead of all of them before going to the next square.

This is a good way to render if the image has lots of displacement and/or dynamic geometry as it will go through the image in a more ordered manner than the top/bottom lines.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

But it's not an option that you can alter somewhere, for example the size of the squares or the order in which they move?

        No, you can't alter it.
