  • Save rendered image incrementally from VFB?

    Hi all,

When rendering hires images that even in distributed mode takes 15+ hours (on our farm) I want to save from the framebuffer incrementally. If anything happens during render I donĀ“t want to start over from the beginning again.

Is there a way to do this? Either by saving the FB each 15 minutes or by rendering directly to a file that I can open even if the render is not finalized.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, it works but involves more work (for us in our workflow). Is there a way to save incrementally to TIF files for example?

Nope; .vrimg (or tiled OpenEXR) is your only option right now.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
