  • Batch render + render elements

Is it still not possible to use batch render and the Vfb and get render elements saved out too?

Works for me if I use the Raw image or Save separate channels output in the VFB.
To clarify, Batch render from > Rendering menu / Batch render..

Ahhh, so if I use the save separate channels in the VFB and then click render on the batch render and leave it over the weekend, all of the renders will have their elements saved out?

It works yes, but actually if you batch render multiple views/cameras then Save separate channels will override all already saved elements from the previous view/cam. It would be better to save in multichannel EXR in this case - Raw image output.

Trick to avoid that is simply change the frame number in the batch render dialog for each render. So VFB will add .0001, .0002 at the end of the filename. Of course it's problematic if things are moving.

I'd love to use .EXR but still Adobe show no signs of supporting multichannel EXR.

+1 for Batch Camera Render. It's all I use now for submitting many many cameras to Backburner super fast.

Did anyone try Batch Camera Render 2 ? Any improvements ?

the one 1.9.x ones are better.

2.0 submits in a different way that doesn't work as well.

+1 for 1.9.x They are actually more recently updated and I think they have a better workflow.
