  • Secondary Bounces

    Hi there,
Im currently a FinalRender user (boo!) but have seen the light
Im just having a play about with a scene (if you can imagine a box room with a dividing wall that runs half the length of the room and is brightly lit in one half of the room but only lit by bounced light in the other half)
Whats the best way to do this? i have tried increaing the 'depth' in the secondary bouces bit but it all stays very dark and dosent seem to make much differnce, ive also got the multiplier up at 1.0.. im using irradience for the first bounce.
    Thanks

Hi Cube and Welcome to the forum.
Ive always found that using Photons as your second bounce works much better for Room Illumination for Indirect light.

You also have a colour mapping function where you can turn up the brightness of the image which also helps with dark area's.

Here's a couple of Tutorials i did a while back that should help you with your problem.
