  • secondary rays bias parameter in 1.45.70

    Hi all.
Does somebody understand secondary rays bias parameter meaning? I have a trouble to get same reflections as in 1.09 with defoult 0.0 The reflections are much more slower. With increasing this parameter it works some faster but looks like completely another.

When I was testing the internal build Vlado had enabled that option for me due to an issue with the window primitives having overlaping faces and rendering out black in parts of the windows. To avoid the black blotches in the windows I adjusted the Secondary Rays Bias to 0.01 or 0.001 depending on the size of the render which seems to almost seperate the faces a little so they dont get the black blotches. BTW the 0.001 was used for a render at 12,000x4850 pixels to gove you an idea.

Maby if Vlado has a spare chance he can shed a little more light on a proper definition of what this does.
