i'm having an issue where I'm trying to create rounded corners on a piece of furniture. So I've added VRayEdgesTex to my bump map for the material and I've added a ProOptimizer modifier to the individual parts that I want to be rounded. The issue is that *everything* has rounded edges now, not just the geometry with the ProOptimizer modifier. How can this be? How do I correct that? I suppose I could create a second material, but I'm wondering why everything is affected?

You would indeed have to make another material. There's no need for the prooptimizer to make it work IF you have nice and clean geometry.
