  • How to extract VRay Render Elements from an exr in fusion?

    Hi,

I totally dont understand how you access the channels that are not "standard" in fusion. I need to access a multimatte and can't find a way...
I wish Fusion had help and forum as good as Chaos.... the doc is super confusing...

also once I try to color correct the exr RGB I can't get back the exposure I do in the VRay frame buffer, fusion seems to work between 0 and 1, clamping or whatever... can someone explain the workflow to use 32bit in fusion?
Sorry I know it is not strictly Vray related but I need help!

If you haven't worked it out yet,.. to extract separate channels. Select the exr file you have imported go to the panel to the right and hit the format tab. Open up the channels. Where it says Red click on the arrow and select the channel of your choice. do the same for green and blue. just keep copying and pasting your exr input file and repeat the process for all of your channels.
