  • irrmap-calc & render time in 1.5b....

i started using the new public beta, and my old scenes tend to render
    5 to 10 times slower...

all the parameters are the same and i adjusted the qmc-subdivs from 50 to 1 - that did not affect render times...

    do i miss something here?

    Hi nlo !

For your old scene, you may import them in a new one.
All the parameters will be at their default value.
My old scene did work better like that...

I hope it will work for you too.
Of course you have to set up some render parameters...

    Bye !

There appear to be some problems with older scenes - VRay puts too many irradiance samples in some cases; I've got one scene with that problem, but it will be helpful if you can send me one of your problemmatic scenes to vlado@chaossw.com
If you are rendering from a camera view, try switching to a perspective view and see if it is still slow.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

Why would changing from a camera to a perspective view make a difference?
