I have a VR Stereo question

I've had a first job request for VR. (on Samsung Gear VR I think)
I don't think it is possible to do what they want, correct me if I am wrong I've never done VR before.

They want spherical panorama and stereo.
I assume this is not possible as stereo depends on where the left and right eye/cameras are. And this could only be achieve in a game engine correct?
You can do single pano for VR or fixed/keyframed camera for stereo.

Can't the moving camera be 360?

I'm pretty shure it can... It'll propably cause simulator sickness on some peoples heads... Like me
But I think it'll work with any kind of camera. What prevents you from using a moving camera?
