  • What would cause a fallback on CPU for denoising?

I just noticed that I am at 99% CPU when the denoiser runs but hardware accelleration is checked.
Does the denoiser need any specific driver for NVIDIA cards? I got a relatively recent one but not the newest.
What else could cause the fallback to CPU mode? (On a side note since I didn't immediately notice it - is there a log notification from the denoiser? If not can we get one?)
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

Check the V-Ray log file or the V-Ray messages window and see what's in it. It should say what's the reason for the CPU fallback. If you are not sure, attach the log here and we'll take a look.

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
