  • vray indoor scene, light setup

    hello,

i want to render an indoor scene with vray. my modelled building has a few windows (outside is a default spotlight with vray shadow) and inside the building i placed some vray ligts (sphere).
the rendertime for one frame is about 5 min. that is to long for a film rendering. (i have to say that the long rendertime is not because of my prozessor)
now i need some good ideas to shorten the rendertime. in my opinion i think i`ve got the wrong settings.

    thanks for helping me

    try taking qmc settings up:

    from 0,85 to 1
    from 0,005 to 0,5
    from 15 to 30

if you use incremental add to irradiance (or multiframe incremental) together with photonmapping for second bounces (or lightmap if you use latest beta) that will speed things up a lot. Make sure your Vray lights are computed with the irradiance map.
You can contact StudioGijs for 3D visualization and 3D modeling related services and on-site training.

could you do a screen grab of your settings? or even an image of your scene?
        I will help a lot
