Probably not the right term for what I'm trying to figure out here so let me briefly explain.
I'm looking for a way to have an object which is intersecting another object render with a soft opacity falloff at the intersection (for smoke particle spheres specifically).
Im not 100% certain but I believe the max shader Oren-Nayer-Blinn has this ability and I was wondering if there is a Vray optimized version. If not, is it safe to use the 3dsmax shader? I'm open to any alternatives as well. Whatever gets the job done. I'll be rendering through many transparent layers so I need something that's optimized for that within Vray ideally.
