Soft shadows with sun light ?

I want to render an outdoor scene with vRay...
I am using skylight, sunlight and vRay light...

the problem is that the shadows of the sunlight are very sharp..
how can I make them to be softer?

hi use vray shadows and U=60 V=60 W=60.... try that also use area shadows

I changed the u,v,w to 700 and that worked
