  • lofting kerbs (curbs?) issue

When I loft a rectangle along a path to create a kerb (or curb - never have been sure how to spell it!), and map a bitmap on it using length repeat so that the length of each stone is, say, a meter long, I get distorted joints near anywhere that the loft object goes around a corner.

    Any tips?
    Kind Regards,

Adding more steps to the path will help, at the cost of more geometry and it is "curb"

I've noticed that about lofts as well.....adding more segments only seems to aleviate the problem but not eliminate it....and there is a point where if you add too many segments, the start to interesect at sharp, say 90 or so degrees, then they create disrupted geometry...........
it seems like an issue, and I haven't found a complete fix for that either..

Would it help if you colapsed the mesh after the loft then map it ?

the thing is natty, i want to take advantage of linear mapping along its cross secetion, so collapsing would remove the advantages of a loft object
