Yes indeed you can do it with Video Post too, but the script solutions allow you to see your camera edits in the viewports. At the end of the day it depends on how interactive you need it to be.

You can use a animation with for example 10 Frames. All the frames are rendered in a Imagesequence,
thus individual pictures are rendert.
I make it in this way:
Create a camera, hit the animbutton, in frame 0 you have your first shot.
Move to frame 10, move your camera to the next view, etcetera etcetera
(if you have already cameras for the shots you can use "Ctrl + c" to align your view)
Then in the Renderdialog, write your Viewnumbers in the "Frames" field,
Select your place to store the Images, hit render.
