    Is it better to model it or texture the opacity channel?

          I think you can do it with a standard material, using vraymap on the ref slot and then the classic opacity channel of the standard mat.

            excuse me for the stupid question but at the moment I can't try anithing my pc's are working on render
            does the standard opacity work well with vray render or does it give some probb ? If yes wich one?
