  • bionatics tree placement questions

    1) I experience a significant delay (20-30 seconds) when placing an oak tree of 40 years (hybred type) old in a scene. Is this normal?

    2) The maximum age for an Oak is 40 years old - is this a limitation of the free version of EasyNat that ships with Max6?
    Kind Regards,

I have lots of problems with NatFx too.
found out that you should not place them with a Vray render active, but default scanline, then it works much better, because it makes its mapping based of your rendertype.
once you have create your trees you can switch back to Vray.

    But.....

I still have BIG BIG BIG problems with Vray and bionatics product in the new vray built, it seems vray can not handle very well the opacity maps its using, in the old 1.09 it seemed to work better.
I tried a lot of settings and differend type of trees (even the trees set to 3D polygons or Vray proxies), but never had a satisfing result when it comes to render times.
I use a lot of trees and want to make animation, but with rendertime >20 min per frame...? aaahhh

Hope someone has good tricks or someting to work around this..???
    Please let me know.
