  • Multiply by front diffuse

Ever since 'Multiply by front diffuse' was added to VRay2Sided I've noticed it gives me a bit more realistic grass\leaf renders when checked. It seems to kind of 'even things out' and look more natural to my eye (maybe I'm crazy?)

I'm curious what the feature actually does behind the scenes, though?

    Thanks!

It looks at the diffuse color of the other side of the surface and multiplies the translucency effect by it - f.e. if you imagine paper with something written on each side, when you hold it against a light, you can see the writing on the other side blocking the light.

If it looks more natural for your use cases, then that's great

    Best regards,
