  • Vray License Server Accessible from different Subnet

    Hi All,

I'm setting up a remote site for a client, and the network is structured in such a way that the remote site is on a different subnet.
It's unlikely this can be changed. I'm wondering what my options are, how can the machine with the dongle be reached outside it's own subnet.
    Are there possible alternatives?

Thanks in advance for any hints or clues!

It is possible to access V-Ray License Server from different subnets.
You just need to make the IP address of the machine where V-Ray License Server is running and the dongle is plugged in, visible and accessible for both subnets as well the port 30304 on this machine (the default port used by V-Ray license server) should be opened and accessible from all the machines that will use V-Ray license server.
Please note that all these settings usually are configured by system administrator of the LAN.

      Hi Svetlozar,

Thanks for your feedback, I did some further reading on some network related sites and indeed also reached the same sort of conclusion, but great to have it confirmed!
I will relay it to the appropriate people.

      Thanks!
