  • Matte/Shadow in VRay...!?

    Hi,

Does anyone have any experience creating a simular material in VRay such as the Matte/Shadow material!? I've read in another post that it's possible with the VRayMtlWrapper, but I don't have a clue how to get the settings right... (just a VRay beginner, switching from Brazil)...

    Thnx in Advance,

    grtz,

    Hi,

look at the vray-properties of the objects.(Rightclick) There's all you need for matte shadow. The nice thing about it is that you can have semi-transparent matte - objects! And you can set objects that render but have black alpha.

Just play around with the settings. (Alpha contribution -1 means "Matte")

    Best regards,

    dimo

      Hi

thats it look at the obj settings in vray renderdialog.

you will seee, it produces also gi shadows for your mate objects, and receives correct reflections from the invisible gi environement.

you also can use the vray wrapper material to get mate properties if i am not wrong
