  • Photoreal Camera Vrayphysical Camera VS Standard physical camera

Hello, is there's any tutorial about the new physical camera settings with the Exposure controls in the environment options ?

i know that this is the script for the old vrayphysical camera: vrayCreateVRayPhysicalCamera()

i was wondering what are the new benefits of the new physical standard camera, for my opinion i think that the old camera was simple and more accurate and fast.

in the new camera, we should enter the exposure control to control the settings. Which is the best?

and what are the best settings to put for the physical camera to achieve greater photorealistic results? any idea?

    Thanks
    Oliver

No replies at all? hmm... i guess with the physical camera, use physical camera exposure and that you should never ever ever use a vray camera or vray exposure control any longer if you are using Max 2017 w/3.5 or newer. I'm guessing because i couldn't find a straight answer either

Don't touch any exposure control in the environment settings. When you add the new camera, it will automatically add the correct exposure control in the environment if there is none. Once its added, DONT touch it.
Change your new came exposure by simply stickin in EV values. Its much simpler now than before. You can also enter your own exposure setting by just ticking "manual" under exposure: exposure gain in the camera itself
Check out this for some nice easy EV values:
