    Hi All,

I have seen a lot of great interior renders posted on the image forum.

What I would like to know if how do you handle color 'bouncing' in VRay ? I have seen images with white walls, and coloured shelves/furniture, and there is no color cast on the white wall.

I have used Brazil, and have had the problem for instance where a wood floor/desk etc. have been placed in a room, and as a result, the color cast is very strong. The material needs to be 'wrapped' and the GI send reduced. As a result, getting accurate lighting is very difficult as you have to play with a lot of settings.

Now please don't reply as a Brazil vs VRay answer - I would just like to know how this is handled in VRay.

    Cheers,
    D

      Hi Natty,

      Thanks for the quick reply.

Is this version you mention available at the moment? If so, what version is it ?

I will actually be getting a bit of 'hands on' on a machine with VRay installed, and would like to know what to look for. Might even be sooner than I thought that I will be using VRay myself...

      Cheers,
      D

actually does happen in real life...if i had a digital camera around i'd snap some pics of my office and show you

the catch is that the human mind somewhat corrects for it and so you still percieve it as white even though its not
