  • Progressive VS. Bucket

The default progressive is 1/100 + .005, so wouldn't setting bucket render to the same thing produce the same results in the same amount of time? When I set my render to progressive, using the defaults, I get nice results pretty quickly. If I set things to bucket, using the same settings, things take 10X as long to produce the same result.

In most of my tests they've produced identical results for more or less the same amount of render time. If you have a scene where you have big differences, I would love to take a look.

Okay, thanks. I am good. I was looking at the est. of the bucket and it wasn't nearly as long; about as long as the progressive render.
