  • Small Flicker Issue in Animation Render! Any Solution?

    Hello,

I am rendering an animation with BF/LC and even tried with BF/BF, but same issue, there is some flickerings in some places here in the image (in red), do anyone know a solution ? what are these? and why here particularly?

(Here attached is two frames from the animation so you can see the small flickerClick image for larger version

    perhaps double faces?
Do you use use "use cam Path" option with reread "from file" in final render?

is it possible, that there are 2 identical faces on these 2 regions?
..one must be delete..can happens while constructing...
I see that on the copies (?) of the crane the flicker happens too!?

like komposer said, it may be that there are two or more faces on top of each other (occupy the same space) some times this happens during modeling process. This will result in flickering regardless of gi settings.

            Hi Morbid Angel,

Thank you for ur reply, but in fact the problem was not the duplicated faces on each other,... Let me explain: i am using a V-ray opacity map on a simple plane layer, and this what is causing flickering. (attached is two pictures of the area where you can see visibly the flickering) the GI is not the cause cz i am using BF/BF for the final render.

i was surfing online and found multiple threads about this same problem without any solution take a look: http://forums.cgarchitect.com/66368-...animation.html

so this is the v-ray opacity map that is causing the flickering in animation!
so you have any idea on how to fix this? i really should use the Opacity map so i should leave it in the scene as it is.

Here in the attached pictures, the handrails are opacity map only.

              Hello,

What opacity mode do you use ? AFAIR, Stochastic is the one to choose for animations

Could you send us just that part of the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so that we can check what's going on?

                Best regards,

Not sure if this is a bug or just an option issue. Have you tried turning off double sided and also changed your secondary ray bias to 0.001.
                  Regards
