  • 360 VR Animation Render Setting for a Realistic Scene!

    Hello all,

CPU Animation: rendering a spherical Camera in a 360 environment with animated objects all around is not easy, but here some questions that i need to know to achieve a realistic looking environment in the VR:

1- Should we enable the AA ? maybe Cook Variable 2.5 is the best for antialiasing ? or should we leave it off? any suggestion for the CPU render animation?

2- Can we achieve a Stereoscopic 360 VR animation render export with CPU with V-ray 3.5 beta ?

3- Vray Camera Vignette should still on? maybe we should turn it off to achieve the realitic looking?

4- any more ideas for a real realitic render for VR viewing ?

    Thanks
    Oliver

You can do stereo VR from before 3.5 already
For VR animation don't render smaller than 4K (8K for stereo side by side)
    Kind Regards,

Also do not render cubical maps! Neither Oculus or Gear VR will read them, use spherical mapping. As a suggestion, use brute force, I had very strong flickering with IR+LC. If flickering in the screen looks bad, in VR will look 10 times worse : )
