  • exr baking the color adjustments from VFB ??

    Hello,

I was rendering the animation and was just changing the color adjustments in VFB to see clamped highlights. Now that i have imported the frames i see that this was baked in the exr which is problem.

The thing is i don't remember this ever happened before, i am in 3.4 version.

Did i do something ? I was in understanding that exr in 32 bits is not baking the col adj from frame buffer.

    Thank a lot for help.

I think what you're looking for is the "V-ray raw image file" output function in the "Frame buffer" tab of the render settings. Enable it, click the button with the dots and choose exr from the formats to save in. Even if you choose 16-bit exr it will render without color corrections from the VFB. Do a quick test with a single frame and let me know if it works. It does for me. I'm on 3.5 Beta 1 but I'm pretty sure it worked in 3.4 as well. And don't forget to disable "save file" in the "Common" tab while rendering raw frames otherwise Max will save the frames twice - once the raw frame and another time with the corrections applied and this might be undesirable.
